What a home show booth costs in 2027

Oct 29, 2026

Headline findings

  • The typical 10×10 booth at a 2027 home show costs $1,490, or $14.90 a square foot. Half of all shows price their 10×10 between $1,061 and $1,729.
  • The gap between the cheapest and priciest show is more than five to one. A 10×10 is $495 at the Alaska Farm and Garden Show in Palmer, Alaska, and $2,699 at the Indianapolis Home Show.
  • Who runs the show matters more than when it runs. Shows from large multi-city producers have a median 10×10 of $1,599. Shows run by home builders associations come in at $1,210, and local independent shows at $1,050. From January through April, the median barely moves.
  • The price on the sheet is rarely the full bill. About four in five shows charge extra for a corner, usually $200. One in three adds required listing or new-exhibitor fees, a median of $249. At those shows, a first-timer's 10×10 comes to a median of about $2,083.
  • Builders association members save about a quarter. At builders association shows that print both rates, members pay a median of 25% less ($200) for a 10×10.

South$1,499$1,290 – $1,599
West$1,490$995 – $1,650

January$1,490$1,290 – $1,721

April$1,490$948 – $1,712

Remodeling shows vs. garden shows

Shows with "remodel" or "renovation" in the name have a median 10×10 of $1,350 (middle half $1,290 – $1,625). Examples include the Greenville Remodeling Expo ($1,290), the Charlotte Home + Remodeling Show ($1,599) and the Tacoma Remodeling Expo ($1,650). Shows with "garden," "flower," "landscape," "patio" or "outdoor" in the name have a median of $1,490 (middle half $1,210 – $1,909). A corner usually adds about 13% to the 10×10 price. Electricity is the add-on shows publish least often, so most exhibitors find out the cost from the exhibitor kit or the sales rep. Where a price is printed, it runs from $20 at the Noble County show to $100 at East Idaho. The Fairgrounds Southern Ideal Home Show in Raleigh charges $50 for power if you order by Mar 19, 2027, and $75 after.

Bigger booths are not always cheaper per foot. Among shows that price a booth of 400 sq ft or more, about four in ten charge the same rate per square foot as a 10×10. Others discount big space steeply. The Novi Home Show (Winter) prices a 20×60 at $7.69 a sq ft, against $16.95 for a 10×10.

Membership pays at builders association shows. Member savings on a 10×10 run from $100 (6.7%) at the Portland Spring Home and Garden Show to $400 (36%) at the Washington County Home Show in Hagerstown, Md.

More than half of the dated booth deadlines on show price sheets fall in January 2027. These include price increases, final payments and cancellation cutoffs. Final payment ranges from 45 days before opening day (La Crosse Area Builders Home Show, Feb 2, 2027) to the day before the show (the Pennsylvania county shows). At those county shows, canceling about a month out still costs half the booth fee. At the Alaska Farm and Garden Show, there are no refunds after Jan 15, 2027.

Nine show pages still list last year's deadlines. Check the date with the producer before you count on it.

How we did this

Booth Rates read the exhibitor price sheets that each producer published online between Oct 19 and Oct 26, 2026. The figures cover the 78 shows of 2027 (January through September) that publish a single 10×10 price. They leave out 7 shows that list only a range or a "from" price, 13 that quote on request, and 4 that still show last year's prices. Prices are as each producer published them, before tax. Some sheets don't say which year they cover. Counting only sheets that say 2027, the median 10×10 is $1,408. Always read the producer's contract before you pay.
